A Treasure Revealed

As a matter of fact, most people enjoy holding secrets because it makes them feel like they possess something in the world that nobody else has ever heard before...that no one even knows about except them. This is true especially when it comes to music. That's right you music hoarders, admit it!! You know you all love to listen to bands that you believe no one else on campus/in the state/on earth has heard of before. It is a most illogical habit, and yet it is so pleasing at the same time.
Well, I have a secret that the world has never heard of before. One that I, and I only, have held onto for ages. Prepare yourself, for you are lesser beings and know not of what I am about to speak....
The secret goes by the name of Air France, and they are an electronic duo from Gothenburg, Sweden. I know, I am all powerful for keeping this secret, and you should kiss my feet for getting the urge to share them with the world. So, I could do one of two things now: I could attempt to write a creative musical column for my blog that involves lots of intellectual sounding words, or I could let the band speak for themselves. I've always been a fan of going with the latter, so here is a smidgen from their facebook group:
"We`re told, on a daily basis, That we`re trying to escape from something. That we´re on the run to who knows where. No one offers a specific direction, it´s all about speculation and myth. We honestly enjoy the relatively cheap food, water lily ponds and crisp morning of Gothenburg. Not to mention the sense of movement, ships settings sail. It`s never too far between a dissapointing night on the town and the comforting arms of a friend. So what´s there to run from? Could it be society`s communication overload, the stress of information? The sense of people being stationed in front of their computers instead of taking leaps out in the real world, of taking brisk walks that, step by step, turn into campaigns of invasion? Being far from static, Air France might give the impression of flight. But is it possible that it´s all just a matter of a slow, very slow processual change, an enhancement with hopes of finding the start of future happy endings?"
Their music is sorta like a dream...no, better.
I highly recommend buying their No Way Down EP or at least wait until they get the nerve to release a full album. The kind of sounds of their inspiration are rare to come by in the music world these days.
